Students Inducted in National Technical Honor Society

Seven Cuyahoga Heights High School students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) in a ceremony held at the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (CVCC) on April 17. Membership is determined by a student’s scholastic achievement, attendance, deportment, participation in career-technical student organizations, and teacher recommendations. The students were nominated by their instructors and selected by a committee composed of CVCC staff.

Inducted were

  • Logan Apathy – Sports Medicine Exercise Science
  • James Blados – Automotive Service Technology
  • Kaitlin Domzalski – Dental Assisting
  • Sophia Kish  – Digital Design
  • Isabella Passalacqua – Digital Design
  • Donnie Raymond – Machine Technology
  • Emily Sanicky – Health Careers

Induction into the NTHS is one of the highest academic honors that a student who  participates in a career technology education program can receive. The four core objectives of NTHS are: career development, service, leadership and recognition. The NTHS has recognized students for their outstanding achievement in their chosen field of study since 1984.

As the newest members, the four students will join with current members to organize activities that promote school spirit and fundraisers to help social causes.  These activities help develop leadership skills, school unity, and a sense of community.
