Over 50 students participated in a youth basketball camp this summer at Cuyahoga Heights.  Instructors taught fundamental basketball skills to boys and girls going into grades 3 through 6.  Players competed in a 1-on-1 and 2-on-2 tournament.  The highlight of each day was teams participating in a basketball obstacle course. The boys and girls basketball staff, with help from 18 middle and high school volunteers organized and instructed at the camp.

North East Ohio Track and Field Championships
This past Wednesday and Friday our school district hosted the Division III North Eastern Ohio Track and Field Championships.  41 schools from the surrounding area came to our community and experienced what it means to be a Redskin. Thank you to our custodial staff for making our facilities look incredible!  Our state of the art track and field facility looked awesome. This kind of event isn’t possible without the countless volunteers from our school and community. Our kids had some fantastic performances.  The boys and girls combined with 18 different athletes scoring points and 20 career best performances. Our girls team scored 25 team points finishing 12th.  Our boys scored 94 team points bringing home the District Runner up Trophy.  We crowned Three District Champions and had 16 kids qualify for the Regional Championships.  Good luck to those who will be competing this Wed and Friday at Massillon Perry!
