Class Description:
This course traces the development of Psychology as a social science. Because Psychology studies the human mind, its mental processes and individual behavior, students will gain insight into these areas. It is designed to help the student better understand why people act as they do, or more specifically, why you act as you do. Topics this class will cover include but not limited to; theories of personality, development and the lifespan, sensation and perception, consciousness, memory, thinking and cognition, and psychological disorders. The development of the field of psychology and its related occupations are also included.
