Teachers from Cuyahoga Heights Schools High School’s staff joined their counterparts from the Independence Local Schools during a collaborative session on a respective professional development day. Hosted at the Cuyahoga Heights Schools, Independence high school teachers traveled to the district to engage in meaningful discussion by subject matter, as part of the morning of their professional development day. Included in the mix were opportunities for teachers from both districts to get to know each other better, share concepts and ideas about teaching methods and then participate in some team-building activities. This gathering marks the second such gathering of teachers from Cuyahoga Heights and Independence Local Schools, and with the positive reception from both districts, more can be expected during next school year. Thank you for your continued support of the Cuyahoga Heights Schools. For more questions, please feel free to contact the district main number at 216-429-5769.

For the third time this year, Junior, Kendra Lindway has posted another new school record!!

In fact, not only did she set a NEW record by earning medals in ALL three of the events she qualified for at State, but she also broke the All-Around record she set just a few weeks ago!!

Kendra's tremendous accomplishments at the State Gymnastics Championships include the following:

2nd place on Vault with an amazing 9.7!!!

5th place on Floor with an incredible 9.3!!!

3rd place All-Around with an astounding 37.45!!!

It is quite an accomplishment to "make the podium" and earn a medal for placing in the top six in one event, but to "make the podium" in all 3 of your events is positively staggering!

Kendra was also awarded "ALL-OHIO" in gymnastics for her "Top-10" performances in the State!!

Kendra's motivation, determination, confidence, and mostly her hard work are attributed to her success this season!!

(Please see with more pictures of the State Gymnastics Championships!)
