Red Ribbon Week Teaches Students to Take a Stand Against Drugs and Bullying

From Monday, October 30 through Friday, November 3rd, the Cuyahoga Heights Schools celebrated Red Ribbon Week, a yearly initiative which seeks to promote student awareness and prevention regarding alcohol, tobacco and other drug use, as well as bullying.  To show their support for this year’s theme of “Real Heroes Don’t Do Drugs!” students and staff participated in special dress up days, specifically, red clothing to show support for being “"Red-y to live drug free" (Monday, 10/30), spirit shirts for  "One school, one goal - bully and drug free" (Tuesday, 10/31), pajamas to encourage everyone to "Follow your dreams, don't do drugs" (Wednesday, 11/1), bright and neon clothing to state that "I'm too bright to do drugs" (Thursday, 11/2), and finally, team jerseys or shirts to "Team up against drugs" on Friday, 11/3.  Thank you to the students and staff of the Cuyahoga Heights Schools for supporting Red Ribbon Week!
