Cuyahoga Heights Board of Education and Cuyahoga Heights Association of Teachers Reach Tentative Agreement

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(CUYAHOGA HEIGHTS, Ohio) October 17, 2014—The Cuyahoga Heights Board of Education and the Cuyahoga Heights Association of Teachers reached a tentative agreement on a three-year contract, after its latest round of negotiation sessions on Thursday, October 16, 2014. This tentative agreement is the collaborative product of a series of three recent meetings in the last two weeks between both the Board and CHAT.

“The people at the negotiating table recognized the importance of educating our students and, ultimately, that sentiment prevailed and a settlement was reached,” said district Superintendent Joe Bergant.  “Now the Cuyahoga Heights Schools can move forward together, and return its exclusive focus back to educating our students at the highest levels of excellence.”
