Elementary Students Participate in Epilepsy Awareness Day!

Students and staff at Cuyahoga Heights Elementary School participated in Epilepsy Awareness Day today by wearing purple! (We also received a shout-out on the Epilepsy Association Facebook page for our participation.) The elementary students not only recognized one of our own today, but we also learned a little bit more about the most common serious brain disorder worldwide.

PSAT Exam Information

Taking the PSAT is typically one of the best ways to prepare for the SAT college entrance exam. Taking the PSAT may also be beneficial to younger students who want to get a head start on improving academic skills needed for college success and beyond.  The PSAT/NMSQT was offered to all high school students on October 15, 2014 and forty-seven students participated in this test. Freshmen, sophomore, and junior students who took the test had their results explained to them this week.

Here's how they can make the most of their scores:

  • Encourage your students to sign in to My College QuickStart™ with the access code provided on their score reports. With this free online tool, students can get an interactive score report and a personalized SAT® study plan.

  • Explore college majors and careers that are suggested utilizing the score results and learn about the colleges and universities that provide those majors.

  • Read explanations to better understand why they scored the way they did; as well as access a free SAT practice test.

In addition, the CHS Guidance webpage provides the 2014-2015 guides to Ohio’s Public and Private Colleges and Universities. These links, as well as additional information, assist students in discovering which college may be the right one for them!
