HS Spring Sports Awards Nights

The HS Spring Sports Awards Night for HS Track will be held on Tuesday, May 31st from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM in the MS/HS Auditorium. The HS Spring Sports Awards Night for Softball and Baseball has been changed from the original date of Tuesday, May 31st and will now be held on Tuesday, June 7th from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM in the MS/HS Auditorium.

Varsity Track District Update

Varsity Track Athletes had a solid first day at the District meet yesterday! Regional Qualifiers after day one...Senior, Samantha Attewell, and Freshman, Stefani Attewell, went 1st and 4th in the Pole Vault going 10 feet and 7 feet 6 inches respectively! Senior, Emily Petrick, took 3rd in the High Jump clearing 4 feet 8 inches! Senior, Charlie Pelfrey, won the Pole Vault clearing 12 feet 6 inches and Junior, Mark Shafer, took 3rd clearing 11 feet 6 inches! Sophomore, Jon Teter, finished 2nd in Shot throwing 49 feet 4 inches! Sophomore, Dylan Drummond, took first in the Long Jump 22 feet 4.75 inches, breaking our school record that has stood since 1972!! Great work!! The final Varsity Track District Meet will be held at Independence High School on Friday, May 20th starting at 3:00 p.m.
Varsity Baseball Team Named District Champions

Congratulations to the Varsity Baseball Team in being named as District Champions! Come root for the Redskins Baseball Team at the next game, which is scheduled to be played at The Pipe Yard located at Campana Park in Lorain on Thursday, May 26th at 6:30 p.m.! Tickets are $7.00 each for students and adults; no presale tickets are being sold.
Cuyahoga Heights HS Receives "All A Award" from the State BOE

Ohio’s State Board of Education has recognized Cuyahoga Heights HS as one of its first annual "All A Award" winners. By receiving A’s on every measure of school performance on the 2014-2105 Ohio School Report Card, this demonstrates the commitment of our entire school staff to providing high-quality education to students from every background and ability level.

HS REDSKINS CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS
Love being a Redskin? What better of a way to show your school spirit than by trying out to be a cheerleader for the 2016-17 school year! All skill levels are welcome!
Sunday, May 22nd from 4:00-6:30pm
Monday, May 23rd from 4:00-5:30pm
Tuesday, May 24th from 4:00-5:30pm
Participants will be taught two chants, one cheer, a short dance and the basics of cheerleading. One-on-one training by Coaches Lindway and Bacci.
Saturday, May 28th at 8:00am
**Cheerleading clinics and tryouts will be held in the North Gym**

CHHS Students Inducted into the National Technical Honor Society

The National Technical Honor Society honors career-technical high school students who excel in scholarship, leadership, service and character. Membership is determined by a student’s scholastic achievement, attendance, deportment, participation in career technical student organizations and teacher recommendations. Final selections are made by a committee of CVCC staff. Members organize activities that promote school spirit, including the Halloween costume contest, Cleveland Indians Spirit Day, a holiday decorating contest, the spring picnic and fundraisers to help social causes. These activities help develop leadership skills and a sense of school unity and community.
We are proud to announce that five Cuyahoga Heights High School students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society on March 23. Congratulations to the following students on their 2016 induction:

Paper Recycling at Cuyahoga Heights has Changed!
Our paper recycler will now be River Valley Recycling. Their green bins are in the same location as the former recyclers, and have the sun and flower logo on them. We will now accept FLATTENED cardboard and books. Click here to view the entire list of acceptable items.
