Elementary Students Participate in Epilepsy Awareness Day!

Students and staff at Cuyahoga Heights Elementary School participated in Epilepsy Awareness Day today by wearing purple! (We also received a shout-out on the Epilepsy Association Facebook page for our participation.) The elementary students not only recognized one of our own today, but we also learned a little bit more about the most common serious brain disorder worldwide.

Elementary Students Compete in Science Olympiad

The Science Olympiad Team had an amazing day at Case Western Reserve University on Saturday, February 28, 2015. The team competed against some of the toughest competition in Northeast Ohio and medaled in four events. We are SO proud of our students!

  • Kaelib Graaf and Jack Bohning earned a medal in Metric Measurement.
  • Alex Nodge and Dominic Trusso-Laponza earned a medal in Experimental Design.
  • Brady Pinter earned a medal in Road Scholar
  • Alex Trusso and Dominic Trusso-Laponza earned a medal with their Trebuchet

The team made Cuyahoga Heights very proud as they earned many compliments from parents and coaches as being one of the most polite teams. Way to go Science Olympians!

The report card your child brings home should give you a good idea of how your son or daughter is doing in school.  The Ohio Department of Education released the new Ohio School Report Card last week.  The Cuyahoga Heights Schools ranked 58th in the State out of 881 public school districts, charter schools, and academies.  We are in the top 7% of all school districts in Ohio. Congratulations to our high performing students and our excellent teaching and support staff.  Throughout the 2014-15 school year, we will continue to provide you with further information on the school district evaluation system so you will have a better understanding of what it means.   View the results of our school district HERE.
